The Website below is very interesting, it shows the places and invention of Thomas Edison.  Also it talks that rare fact about him, like it was said that Thomas Alva Edison was born in Mexico, because of the name ALVA, now that's something bizarre.   The website has a brief biography of Thomas Edison and his time lime, also Edison inventions and the ideas that came after Edison.

Two articles, second post

Let There be Light article is a cover story about how Thomas Edison created the light bulb.  In sept. 8,  1878 Thomas Edison journeyed to William Wallace to examine Wallace "arc light", Edison had thought about electric light already.  Edison told Wallace that he could beat him on making electric light, not until sept 4, 1882 he stood before a crowd in Manhattan and threw a switch to turn on 100 incandescent light bulbs.  Thanks to his invention know we have light bulbs in our home, burning more than 2 hours or less.

History's Mysteries talks about why Thomas Edison created the lightbult, the reason was to make more money.  Since he wanted to have an electric company, he needed the light bulb.

Introduction

My name is Gustavo Martinez, and I chose Thomas Edison.  I chose Thomas Edison because with out his lightbulb invention we will be living without any light.  I really like that at the age of 11 he would go to the library and read Chemistry books and classic books too.  I mean who does that at the age of 11, thats why I picked him.
